Ms. Ford, Classroom Teacher
I am a 2008 Early Childhood Education graduate from Western Illinois University. My degree allows me to work with children from birth to 3rd grade. I completed all of my pre-service teaching at Westview Elementary in Canton and began my teaching career at Cuba Elementary in August 2008. I have been in blended preschool classroom for 8 years; 7 years whole day and 1 year half day (morning and afternoon classes). I find it ironic that I am teaching in what was once my Home-Economics classroom since that was my original major. I am so happy to be teaching in the school where I graduated from high school; the building has changed a lot in the past 13 years!
Along with teaching, I reside in Cuba with my daughter, Emma. She loves school, friends, and is my social butterfly! Together we spend our time bike riding, shopping, and cheering on the North Fulton Wildcats and Cuba Cardinals. I have also taken on a couple of roles in the school setting; PTO Treasurer and Jr. High Volleyball Coach.
I am always eager to start a new school year to meet new students and families. I love working in preschool with my very active young learners; they keep me on my toes! I am looking forward to a great year in preschool.
